Pallets Indiana

Paper Pallets

The weakest and cheapest of the pallet options available, these are meant for a couple of uses and not holding large weight. They are meant to carry light loads such as pillows or stuffed animals. Because of their low quality to start with they are also rarely recycled.

Wood Pallets

Wood pallets give two primary options when ordering, soft wood pallets and hard wood pallets. Soft wood pallets are the weaker of the two and although is stronger than paper pallets, usually only lasts as long as its paper counterpart. Hard wood pallets are not only stronger, but also last longer. They are easy to repair and are often recycled. This makes hard wood pallets more economically and lowers the price when ordering in bulk.

Plastic Pallets

Plastic pallets are more durable than wood pallets since they won’t rot or corrode and resist weathering and chemicals. They are usually made with high-density polyethylene or polyethylene terephthalate which makes them strong. These like wood pallets are stackable and very recyclable. They are also cost more than wood pallets.

Metal Pallets

These pallets are meant for the heaviest of the heavy loads. They are extremely strong while also the most expensive pallet option. They are very heavy, and susceptible to rusting. However those are the only downsides to using the metal pallets.

Pallet material is a difficult choice since price and weight/size of your load need to be considered. Often however plastic or hard wood pallets are the best choices for the job, all that needs to be determined is if there’s a valid justification for paying more for the plastic variant. Another thing to consider is the variations of pallets and how you want to store them

Two-Way Pallets

These pallets can only be picked up from two sides. They are limited in this sense since they have to stored properly so that forklifts can get to them easily

Four-Way Pallets

These pallets can be picked up from all four sides making them easier to place and grab.
